Check out this short film containing Kanye's tracks from his up and coming album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The story was by Kanye but Mr. Hype Williams had a part in witting it. Enjoy!

BMW Films
I remember back in middle school & high school my brother showing me BMW short films staring Clive Ownen. Watching those made a little bit more interested in the film industry paying attention to detail wondering how scenes were shot. Anyway here are my top three picks from the Film saga. All three ironically are from RSA Films. Enjoy!

My July 4th...watching professional fireworks in the front yard
So my July 4th was great this year :) but I wanted to post this video of fireworks I took with my camera phone. I was worried about trying to see professional fireworks some where in the city that I lucked out by going to this BBQ and like magic here comes a team that shut the street down to make the neighborhood go WOW!!! This lasted for over an hour when I was leaving it was still going on, as a matter of fact I bet it's still happening lol.

RHYMEFEST = EL CHE
I had the wonderful opportunity to edit the latest exclusive interview for the Chicago Hip -Hop Blog What's In My Headphones. The artist was Rhymefest, if you have ever heard Kanye West's single Jesus Walks then you've heard Rhymefest cause he wrote the lyrics. Rhymefest came to the scene by signing with J Records and released his Freshman Album Blue Collar. Since then Rhymefest has broken away from J Records and has signed to dNBe Entertainment. In the interview Rhymefest explains why he left J Records cause they wouldn't allow him to be an artist and release what he wanted to put out but enough writing check out the Two Part Interview below.

#GtotheAtotheGtotheAonmyBDAY
So for my 1/4 of a century BDAY the big Two Five I had to work but I'm always game to work especially if I need the money. So back to birthday aka work day lol, I had the opportunity to work on Lady Gaga's video Alejandro. This video was pretty huge in set up. The Director, Steven Klein, was the mastermind behind the idea. Gaga of course had a say in how she wanted it to go but she trusted Steven's direction to take her to a new look. Steven is well known for his still photography he has worked with celebrities such as the Rolling Stones, Madonna and Brad Pitt to name a few. This was his first music video, but it didn't seem like it, you could tell he had a lot of ideas he wanted to take, but he pretty much stayed the course. During the music video he also used a "Photographer's Tool" which you don't see a lot on music videos. As a matter of fact I've never seen or shall I say heard anybody do this on a music video set which was playing music of the mood. Basically during photo shoots photographers will play music to help the talent in becoming relaxed or setting the mood for which the photographer wants the talent to act. During Gaga's non performing scenes that's what Klein did, the sound technician played music other than the Alejandro Track. To me I think that's a great idea especially if your trying to have an artist or talent feel in a specific mood, note taken. Overall the shoot was long but went well and I'm curious to see it.

Kanye West "Coldest Winter" Directed By NABIL
Kanye has been missing on the Entertainment Scene lately but recently I was surprised to see him in the Second Edition of "We Are The World" a couple of weeks ago. When I saw him then that made me think, "When is Kanye putting out another album?" So I noticed today Kanye's music video from his 808s & Heartbreaks album "Coldest Winter" was on the web. I noticed how the track has a different intro, which I am diggin by the way, and the video didn't have Kanye in it, which was no surprise to me since he hasn't been in a few of vids already. I did like NABIL's approach to the video it gave a different perspective on how to relate the video to the song. Usually I'm not a big fan of music videos that don't relate to the song UNLESS they can be portrayed in different mindset or point of view relative to the song in someway (Personal Opinion) but like I said that's usually. NABIL found a way to attract and make me watch the entire video, which to me is a successful job. Enjoy!

Recap of 2009
So I meant to do a recap of the projects I was involved in during 2009. So I'm going to try to do it in Chronological order from when I started to the last one I did in 2009. I'm using youtube videos display projects I worked on.
First thanks to all of those who have helped me along the way you know who you are from Directors, Assistant Directors, Directors of Photographies (DPs), Producers, Production Managers Coordinators, VTR/Playback, Grips Electrics, PA Brothers and Sisters even a couple of Craft Service People as well, It was my 1st year out in LA working in the industry and I learned a lot and ready to move on to other areas of the industry to learn as much as I can before I head into the Directing/Producer Role.
Second all youtube videos posted are not all the videos I worked on just a FYI.

Miss Right...It's too good to be true but sure enough it's real :-)
So ironically a few days after venting about meeting someone it turns out I did. What makes this so "Ironic" is that me and this individual hit it off and I mean right off the bat we could tell we liked each other. It's very rare to encounter that. Now this individual's name will be Jay Jay or JJ for short ;) (LOL). We scheduled a time out of our daily lives to get Chicken Nachos from Qdboa. Why you ask cause I beat JJ in a bet from an online Uno game. The bet was if I had won that match she owed me Chicken Nachos while I was in Indianapolis. Guess who won, lol, anyway we set up a time and date to go to Qdoba we sit, eat and have a nice casual conversation. From the car ride to Qdoba and the conversation we had at Qdoba I could tell this was a great girl with a wonderful personality and with a good head on her shoulders. In part of our convo I talked about a movie that she hadn't seen. I asked if she was busy later and she "made time" to become free :). I grabbed the movie from my parent's house along with a couple others just incase she wasn't feeling it and we watched the movie +2 more LOL. To make a long story short the chemistry was there and we definitely enjoyed each others' company.
After that day I fell for this girl and I would like to say the same thing happened to her. During my last week in Indy I tried to use my six days wisely to spend it with her. I really don't know where this chemistry came from but we have a lot in common, we value each others' interest and we just really really really like each other. It's weird but not at the same time cause certain people come into your life at a certain time for a certain reason. I'm not going to throw too much details about us but we are mos definitely keeping in touch with each other on a daily basis. I know JJ will probably read this I just want you to know I'm glad I was able to get to know you better as person and that you have entered my life :). Aight aight for everyone else who reads this the I'm sure the story will unfold and you get the real alias later until then CE OUT!
Oh and P.S. JJ is bangin', gorgeous & beautiful. 4Real!
